Things to do in Sardinia

A myriad of things to do awaits you in Sardinia and the Petra Segreta Resort & Spa Concierge will help you organise sporting and cultural activities, as well as visits to food and wine producers, offering an opportunity to discover the locations and the flavours of the area:

  • Excursions with the hotels private boat, an Itama 38, which can go as far as Corsica on a return day trip, or with a yacht or catamaran, to discover the Costa Smeralda and the islands of the Archipelago of La Maddalena. Lunch served on board is either a selection of local or fish dishes prepared fresh by the chef.
  • Excursions on horseback organised by a guide from the stables in Cugnana, with challenging rides for experts or trekking suitable for all levels, immersed in the Sardinian countryside and close to the sea.
  • Diving with an instructor to discover the marine world and the sea beds of the islands near to the resort.
  • Private helicopter excursions departing directly from the hotels heliport, offering a birds-eye view of the untamed natural surroundings and the crystal-clear waters just a few minutesflight from the hotel. The service is also available for transfers from the resort to Olbia international airport and quick trips to other Sardinian cities, as well as Corsica.
  • Golfing sessions at the Pevero Golf Course, one of the most beautiful in the world.
  • Rock climbing with a guide in the mountains, on sheer cliffs above the sea in the gulf of Orosei, and in the nearby rocky hills of the Gallura.
  • Wine tastings in the local vineyards with an aperitif with typical wines, Vermentino and sparkling wines, and wines from the age-old Sardinian grape varieties.
  • Windsurfing, kitesurfing and surfing on the beaches of Porto Pollo, Le Saline and the La Cinta beach in San Teodoro.
  • Deep-sea fishing accompanied by the top professionals from the islands of the Archipelago of La Maddalena and the Bonifacio Strait.
  • Archaeological excursions to admire the ancient burial grounds, Nuraghe and the Tombs of the Giants spread throughout the area. A must-see is the Nuraghe Albucciu in Arzachena, the nearby Malchittu Temple and the Li Lolghi Tomb, the most important complex in the Gallura area, with the exedra composed of large slabs planted vertically into the ground, and at the centre a monumental stone with a relief border and a central entrance.
