The chef

Chef Luigi Bergeretto is a culinary creator at Petra Segreta. Before coming to Sardinia, Luigi has worked at RAI Uno and has done important experiences abroad earning a presitious Five star diamond award, as well as others. After he decided to open his own restaurant in a rural location hidden in a wild countryside dotted with majestic granite rocks and immersed in the forests of oaks and junipers, yet is just minutes from the busiest centers of Costa Smeralda.

The cuisine style at the basis is unmistakably Italian and Sardinian, revisited in the most contemporary way: respecting antique traditions, yet combined with innovation and creativity to ensure healthy and light culinary creations. Every day Luigi orchestrates a feast for the eyes and taste buds with the freshest ingredients: deep sea fish, pasture-raised meat, wholesome food produced according to ancient traditions, untouched by chemical fertilizers, additives, feed. The finishing touch to bind it all together is wine: only the best wines from our extensive wine cellar. Here the marvelous tastes, highlighted by exciting perfumes of myrtle and rosemary wafting in from the surrounding Mediterranean vegetation, mingle with the best man and nature have to offer.
